Most people find me because something has just happened: a death in the family, a tenant who has stopped paying, a property they want to pass on, or a sale or purchase. Choose the one that fits.
A family member has died
I open the estate or settle the trust, and see it through to the final distribution.
A tenant has stopped paying
I prepare the notice, file the case and follow the judgment through to the sheriff.
You want to pass on a property without probate
A Lady Bird deed names who receives it, and you keep control while you live.

A lawyer who also understands the tax side
Before I opened my law practice in 1991, I worked as a tax manager for one of the "big four" accounting firms in Miami. I'm a licensed attorney and a licensed CPA, with an accounting degree and an MBA as well as my law degree.
An estate often comes with tax returns of its own. When it does, I make sure the estate tax return, if one is required, and the decedent's final tax returns are filed with the IRS.

Who will I be working with?
Me. I'm a sole practitioner, with no associates or staff between you and the work. I'm the person you speak to at the first call, and I handle your matter myself from start to finish.
Where is your office?
My office is at 4000 Hollywood Blvd, Suite 555-S, in Hollywood, with a free parking lot on site. First consultations are by phone or online, so you don't need to travel for them. Later meetings are in person, by appointment.
What are your hours?
I'm in the office Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Meetings are by appointment, so please call or use the calendar on the contact page to book a time.
Do you draft wills or trusts?
No. I administer estates and settle trusts after a death. If you want a will or trust drawn up while you're alive, you'll need an estate planning attorney. The one planning tool I do offer is the Lady Bird deed, which passes a Florida property to the people you name.
Do you represent tenants?
No. In evictions I represent landlords only. If you're a tenant facing an eviction, you'll need to find another attorney.
Which areas do you serve?
I serve clients in Hollywood, Dania Beach, Hallandale Beach, Miami Beach, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, all in South Florida. If you're somewhere else, call and tell me what you need, and I'll tell you whether I can help.
What difference does it make that you're also a CPA?
Estates and property transactions often come with tax paperwork. Because I'm a CPA as well as an attorney, I can see the tax questions as they arise, including the estate tax return, if one is required, and a decedent's final tax returns. I explain what applies to your matter in the first conversation.
