If someone close to you lived in Miami, or you own property there, I can help with probate, trust administration, landlord evictions, Lady Bird deeds, and buying or selling. I handle cases in Miami-Dade County as well as Broward. My office is in Hollywood, and the first consultation is free, by phone or online, with no time limit.

Miami-Dade cases, started from where you are

A probate case is filed in the county where the person who died lived, and an eviction is filed in the county where the property is. For Miami, that is Miami-Dade County. My office is in Hollywood, in Broward, but I handle Miami-Dade cases, and most of what's needed at the beginning is a conversation: what has happened, what documents exist and what you want to achieve. That works well by phone or online. When it helps to meet, we set a time at my office, by appointment.

Questions

Miami questions

Do you handle cases in Miami-Dade County, or only Broward?

Both. Probate for someone who lived in Miami, and evictions for Miami rentals, are filed in Miami-Dade County, and I handle them. My office is in Hollywood, in Broward.

Do I have to travel to Hollywood for the first meeting?

No. The first consultation is by phone or online. If we go further, we can meet in person at my office in Hollywood, by appointment, when a meeting helps.

Where is a Lady Bird deed recorded for a Miami home?

In the official records of the county where the property is, which for Miami is Miami-Dade County. The deed has to be prepared carefully, including the homestead wording and, if you're married, your spouse's signature, so please talk to me before you sign anything.
